HOW TO ALIGN WITH OUR TRUE NATURE

With Professor Bartholomew Blackington-Brainphartte

Professor Bartholomew Blackington-Brainphartte from Barnstock and Boothe Boys School in the Borough of Bainbridge-Upon-Bath’s teaching talents are the talk of the town, ‘tremendously tantalizing,’ ‘not tedious,’ and ‘Tuesday-Talks tops the ‘teachometer’ tachograph time and time again!’

Yes sir, Professor Bartholomew Blackington-Brainphartte from Barnstock and Boothe Boys School in the Borough of Bainbridge-Upon-Bath is a teacher both loved, and admired by many Coddle-Poppers both near and far, and even some in between!

One fine scholarly occasion springs to mind where Professor Bartholomew Blackington-Brainphartte from Barnstock and Boothe Boys School in the Borough of Bainbridge-Upon-Bath was asked by one of his students what was needed for folks to align themself with their TRUE nature (the essence of who we are as a Sol).

Professor Bartholomew Blackington-Brainphartte from Barnstock and Boothe Boys School in the Borough of Bainbridge-Upon-Bath loves questions like these. He puffed out his chest and went into full-on, ‘ninja’ professorship mode (complete with that little knee bend that a policeman might do when they say ‘Evening all.’)… but I digress.

To align to our true nature, we must each first raise our awareness to what is natural for ourself. Then, what is natural for us will be revealed by our ATTENTION (what we think about, we bring about).

The student (a little perplexed), needed to understand what the professor meant by ATTENTION, and was a little confused at what the difference was between that and CONCENTRATION?

Professor Bartholomew Blackington-Brainphartte from Barnstock and Boothe Boys School in the Borough of Bainbridge-Upon-Bath explained that concentration is an imposed discipline. Attention however, is our awakened curiosity. Concentration is initiated with the mind, whereas attention comes from the heart.

Concentration is what brilliant professors like me, get to teach awesome students like you at school. The downside however, is that our energy is forced in just one direction. Not only that, it is forced from OUTSIDE of ourself because we’re chasing an end result like approval, good grades, status, or sometimes even survival.

Sadly, most folks only know ‘concentration’ and ‘effort,’ which (to the heart) must sometimes feel like the mind is crushing our Sol. The mind keeps repeating, ‘You MUST do this,’ and sometimes even, ‘You MUST do that,’ just to change it up a bit (it’s  a suppression, that saps our energy until we end up feeling exhausted and drained). So what do we do? We escape into distraction, consumption, drugs and/or entertainment.

Professor Bartholomew Blackington-Brainphartte from Barnstock and Boothe Boys School in the Borough of Bainbridge-Upon-Bath pointed out that by contrast, attention is effortless (our path of least resistance). It’s the direction that we that will go when we FINALLY stop pretending, and throw away all of our ‘shoulds.’ Attention doesn’t come from fear, it comes from RESONANCE. Attention doesn’t push, it PULLS. It’s the subtle gravity of our own nature.

He pointed out that Sir Devonshire Hoggstwaddle-Amplespitt IV, Professor (retired) calls this the subtle vibration of intuition. Sheamus Sherman Schnouzer-shoes (philosophy teacher at Chuggphasterr Community College in the parish of Cabbagechester), calls it the law of our own being. But I like to look at it as our future, SELF-MANIFESTING in the present ‘now moment’ (trying to guide us toward our destiny).

All three of us have different ways of looking at it, but essentially, it’s the same horse but with different jockeys, and we’re all pointing to our ‘inner-pull’ that knows the way BEFORE we actually do.

The student (though intrigued), was concerned where, being ‘financially secure’ fits into all of this (because we’ve ALL got to live, right?).

Professor Bartholomew Blackington-Brainphartte from Barnstock and Boothe Boys School in the Borough of Bainbridge-Upon-Bath grinned, and laid it out like this: The weird part is that, when we stop trying to bend our life around money, and instead begin to listen (really listen) to where our heart wants to go, a kind of grace starts to kick in.

We start to notice how it is that the right people start turning up at just the right time. We get surprise opportunities (as if placed in front of us by an unseen hand). Life rearranges itself around us because we’re finally in harmony (resonance) with the Divine-unfolding of our life. It’s as if the whole universe says: ‘Hello sleepy-head, it’s good to see you’re finally listening. Now that you’re paying attention, hold my beer and hang on tight, because here’s what we’re going to do next.’

Professor Bartholomew Blackington-Brainphartte from Barnstock and Boothe Boys School in the Borough of Bainbridge-Upon-Bath added that, once we’ve settled into who we TRULY are, God (not as a being in the sky, but as the living intelligence within all things) takes care of the WHEN and the HOW.

It takes great courage NOT to dwell on the money. It requires us to be able to acknowledge the fear but still move forward (despite it). The professor highlighted that if our attention keeps returning to a particular skill, topic, creativeness, a certain kind of work, or even a philosophical question, it means ‘life’ is trying to unfold something THROUGH us.

Professor Bartholomew Blackington-Brainphartte from Barnstock and Boothe Boys School in the Borough of Bainbridge-Upon-Bath emphasizes that we NEED to listen to that pull. We need to do more of whatever that pull is, and to do less of everything else. We permit ourself to immerse into it completely.

But here’s where the wheel usually comes off. Most folk tend to JUDGE the things that they’re interested in. Before giving ‘whatever it is’ a chance, they prematurely label what pulls them as: ‘not useful,’ ‘not productive,’ or ‘not profitable,’ and in doing so they’ve already killed their ‘natural unfolding’ in the name of practicality, and throw the baby out with the bathwater. Sadly, most of us don’t die when we’re buried, we die the moment we abandon what makes us ALIVE.

Our nature doesn’t yell. It doesn’t force. It doesn’t require motivation or discipline. It doesn’t threaten… It just waits. It waits for us to stop being AFRAID of ourself. It waits for us to STOP needing validation. It wants for us to TRUST the intelligence of what we’re naturally drawn to.

Switched-on Homosapiens and Coddle-Poppers do not create their greatest work from safety. They create it from truth. They don’t abandon their nature just to satisfy the world (because it won’t). We need to FORGET what our parents want, what peers think is ‘normal,’ what social media influencers worship, what brings status or approval, and even what we do to avoid discomfort. NONE of these things are our nature; they are our CONDITIONING. The best that any of those things can offer, is a life that ‘looks’ right, but it will ultimately FEEL wrong.

Professor Bartholomew Blackington-Brainphartte from Barnstock and Boothe Boys School in the Borough of Bainbridge-Upon-Bath insists that we should ALL allow ourself to be naturally drawn by the ‘Divine-Pull’ of what grabs us, and follow that thread with curiosity. Why? Because it will lead us back home (to ourself).

Here’s one final tip, or at least something more to think about. As soon as we die, our identity becomes just a ‘body.’ People say things like ‘Bring the body,’ ‘put the body in the grave’ etc. People don’t even call us by our name   (the same people we tried to impress our whole life).

Let’s all live a life to please Creator, not the creation

So let’s take chances, spend money on the things we love, laugh until our tummy hurts, dance (even if we’re not good at it), pose for silly photos… be child-like. Because the moral of this particular story is that death is not the biggest loss in life. The real loss is when life dies inside of us while we’re still alive… so please be sure to celebrate this gift that we call LIFE.
