ASSUMPTION

ASSUMPTION

Tommy ‘Top-Tips’ Tinklehausser is the Coddle-Popper who seems to have ‘been there, and done that’ more times than any other Coddle-Popper I know! At a ripe old age of 973, if there was a hard way of doing things, he’s tried it (Not too dis-similar to some of us humans), with the wrinkles on his brow to prove it!

Tommy ‘Top-Tips’ Tinklehausser and some of his buddies have compiled a compendium of ‘Stinking-Thinking’ instances where an easier way was found which he lovingly shares with us homosapiens with his monthly tips, in order to ease the emotional roller-coaster that we’re on. Today’s ‘Stinking-Thinking’ instance is about ‘ASSUMPTIONS’ and his longtime, old pal,  Donald ‘Donkey’ Keyferpharr-Tinlowder.

ASSUMPTIONS

Donald ‘Donkey’ Keyferpharr-Tinlowder is a strange little Coddle-Popper. There’s a saying about when we assume, of how it makes an ass/ (of) U (you)/ and me (ass/u/me). Now as much as Coddle-Poppers find immense shock-value and naughtiness in using ‘ass’ as a nickname, that would be a bit harsh (Coddle-Poppers may be coarse, but they’re not cruel), but ‘donkey,’ well that’s fair game. Not only is it the first three letters of both his first and last name, but ties in wonderfully with his incessant habit… to assume.

Tommy ‘Top-Tips’ Tinklehausser has noticed how (in everyday conversation), ‘I assumed you…(whatever)’ has become a lot more common and subsequently creates more and more problems.

To ‘assume’ seems harmless enough, but we need to remember that saying ‘I assumed you…(whatever)’ is a slippery slope when it comes to poor communication. Assumption turns a blind eye to observation, it bypasses enquiry, and (worst of all), it replaces truth with a liability (with the illusion of a shortcut). ‘I assumed you… (whatever)’ has sidelined proper conversation.

Tommy ‘Top-Tips’ Tinklehausser describes an ‘assumption’ as a belief accepted as truth (but without proof). Assumption is a mental shortcut that substitutes missing information with personal bias, past experiences, and/or subtle fears.

Occasionally assumptions can be useful (quick decision-making), but Donald ‘Donkey’ Keyferpharr-Tinlowder’s assumptions are often inaccurate and unfair (especially regarding interpersonal relationships).

WHY WE MAKE ASSUMPTIONS

Both Coddle-Poppers and homosapiens are wired to look for patterns. When the brain finds itself with an incomplete picture, it tries to fill the gaps with PAST information. This might seem efficient, or even clever, but it is also dangerous. When Donald ‘Donkey’ Keyferpharr-Tinlowder makes assumptions about other people, he often:

  • Overlooks important details
  • Fails to recognize personal growth/change
  • Reveals more about himself (Donald ‘Donkey’ Keyferpharr-Tinlowder)  than the  assumed subject

The consequence? Donald ‘Donkey’ Keyferpharr-Tinlowder suffers more misunderstandings, false accusations, and unnecessary conflicts than any other Coddle-Popper we know!

WHAT ‘I ASSUMED YOU…’ MEANS

When Donald ‘Donkey’ Keyferpharr-Tinlowder says ‘I assumed you…(whatever)’ he very rarely describes the other person accurately. Instead, he usually reveals:

  •   The projection of his own fears
  •   His lack of willingness (or his own fear) to ask questions
  •   His NEED to maintain control of the narrative

In short, ‘I assume’ has become Donald ‘Donkey’ Keyferpharr-Tinlowder’s  epitaph for ‘I didn’t ask’ and/or ‘I didn’t listen.’

THE COST OF ASSUMING

Assumptions damage communication because they create mixed roles:

  • The ‘assumer’ (Donald ‘Donkey’ Keyferpharr-Tinlowder) inadvertently becomes positioned as the authority.
  • The other person unwittingly becomes a character in a script they didn’t write.
  • In relationships (personal/professional/societal), this leads to emotional distancing, mistrust, and disconnection.

    TOP TIP

So, the next time we lean towards making an assumption, let’s change our self-talk and think like a Coddle-Popper. Pause, take a breath, and swap out assumption with curiosity:

    •   Can I clarify something with you?
    •   What did you mean when you said…?
    •   Help me understand your perspective.

According to Tommy ‘Top-Tips’ Tinklehausser, these small shifts encourage proper dialogue. They create space for truth, quirkiness, and respect.

      FINAL THOUGHT

Folks FAIL to realize that assumption can MISTAKENLY portray the ILLUSION of intelligence, but if Donald ‘Donkey’ Keyferpharr-Tinlowder is anything to go by, the truth is often the opposite. Proper understanding requires listening, asking, and observing (not guessing). If we want better conversations, stronger relationships, and better insight into others, Tommy ‘Top-Tips’ Tinklehausser suggests that we pension-off the phrase ‘I assumed you…(whatever)’ and replace it with something far more powerful: CURIOSITY.

We all know what they say about when we ‘assume…’ and Donald ‘Donkey’ Keyferpharr-Tinlowder would not want want any of us having a nickname like he has!

Coddle-Poppers are wise enough to  know that we are all unique parts of a puzzle, and if we encourage each other to shine, listen, learn and adventure into new ways of doing things, well, we may just find ‘interesting’ new ways of doing things. These ‘new nuggets’ of knowledge then lead us down other paths that we have never travelled before too (like the icing on the proverbial cake)! When we change the way we look at things, the things we look at change!

The great thing about the Coddle-Popper way, is that it shifts us out of defending our limitations, and into exploring our possibilities (where the REAL change happens)!

      MORE FROM TOMMY ‘TOP-TIPS’ TINKLEHAUSSER

Yes sir, there’s well over twenty different ways that our thought process messes with our mind, and here’s a list of the who’s-who that we shall break down with this ‘Stinking-Thinking’ series. (Please check out this link: https://thefrequency.ca/stinking-thinking/)

Blaming, all or nothing thinking, catastrophizing, overgeneralization, mental filtering, jumping to conclusions, emotional reasoning, labeling and mislabeling, personalization, discounting positives, fortune telling, mind reading, always being right, negative filter, selective attention, false consensus effect, comparisons, what if” thinking, unrealistic standards, black-and-white thinking, self-blame, filtering, magnification, minimization, the fallacies of heaven’s reward, change, fairness, control and should.

My goodness, that’s quite the list isn’t it, so every month we will walk through them one at a time, so that we know what we’re looking for, and can do something about it as soon as we recognize it.

If we don’t, most of these will lead to unrealistic expectations/frustration/stress/disappointment and emotional distress… especially if we continue doing nothing about it.

      BEFORE-THE-WORDS CHECK

      BEFORE-THE-WORDS CHECK

To some, Terrence ‘Tricksie’ Pimplethwaite III would come across as a bit of a ‘red-neck,’ to others, he’s resourceful, but to Terrence ‘Tricksie’ Pimplethwaite III, he just doesn’t understand the concept of quitting.

‘There’s ten ways of doing everything’ is his motto, so he’s very often found at the source of solutions for many-a-Coddle-Popper with his varied assortment of tips and tricks (thus his nickname of ‘Tricksie’). If there’s an alternate way of doing anything, Terrence ‘Tricksie’ Pimplethwaite III is the Coddle-Popper who will work out what it is. Terrence ‘Tricksie’ Pimplethwaite III has compiled a weekly compendium of instances that (when needed), better ways were discovered (whether mental or physical), in the form of handy tips.

‘Why work hard, when you can work smart?’ is another of his famous sayings, and is the epitome of what his weekly tips are all about.

      WHAT IT IS

Terrence ‘Tricksie’ Pimplethwaite III reveals that the ‘Before-the-Words’ Check invites us to clarify whether the communication problem is actually a problem to do with our words, or, a problem with how safe we feel.

      WHY IT WORKS

Our ability to find the right words lessens when our nervous system feels threatened. Somehow, our thoughts become harder to organize, like as if our access to language narrows. We go blank, get defensive, shut down, or say things that we don’t really mean.

Coddle-Poppers refer to this phenomenon as ‘Brain-phartte.’ Brain-phartte occurs as a precursor to ‘nose-whistles.’ Oh Lordy, nose-whistles are a nasal occurrence brought on by overthinking, brain-ache, and/or an over-stimulated nervous system. (There are two different octave whistles, depending whether an inward or outward breath. Prolonged nose whistles eventually bring on non-fatal brain explosions that do not have any long-term harm for the Coddle-Popper), but I digress, and that’s another story, for another day.

Most of us have spent years trying to be better at communicating, when all along, the problem was that we lose access to our words when we’re under pressure! It wasn’t ‘vocabulary,’ the problem was our ‘CAPACITY.’

Terrence ‘Tricksie’ Pimplethwaite III suggests that by us understanding that difference, we’ll save ourself from a lot of self-blame and point ourself in the right direction toward what we really need.

      HOW TO USE

      • Step 1: Recognize the breakdown. We’re in a conversation, and we can’t find the words. (Terrence ‘Tricksie’ Pimplethwaite III says that we might go blank, get defensive, or shut down).
      • Step 2: Evaluation question. Before trying to fix anything, let’s ask ourself: ‘Is it that I don’t know what to say, or, is it that I don’t feel safe enough to say it?’
      • Step 3: Distinguish the problem. If we genuinely don’t know what to say, the solution might be clarification, preparation, or a different approach. Terrence ‘Tricksie’ Pimplethwaite III is keen to point out that if we don’t feel safe, then there’s no amount of perfect wording that’s going to solve it.
      • Step 4: Address what’s REALLY needed. A ‘words’ problem might call for more preparation, or time to gather of our thoughts. A ‘safety’ problem might involve a pause, a different time and/or place, or (importantly), proof that the person can handle what we’re about to say without judgment.
      • Step 5: Build the conditions (not just the skills). Instead of asking ‘Why can’t I communicate?’ Terrence ‘Tricksie’ Pimplethwaite III suggests that we’re better served when we ask ourselves, ‘What conditions help me communicate well?’

Terrence ‘Tricksie’ Pimplethwaite III wants us to understand that this particular shift deflects our focus away from personal failure, and moves it toward understanding what our nervous system NEEDS in order to stay present.

      TOP TIP

‘Safety’ doesn’t always mean physical safety. No sir, it can also mean:

      • Are they going to hear me or dismiss me?
      • Can I speak without fear of being made wrong or to look a fool?

Terrence ‘Tricksie’ Pimplethwaite III is constantly amused that our nervous system always knows that answer before we do!

MORE FROM TERRENCE ‘TRICKSIE’ PIMPLETHWAITE III

Terrence ‘Tricksie’ Pimplethwaite III grew up in somewhat of a broken home. His father was overly partial to Coddle-berry wine and spent most of his time and money down at the local boozer. His poor ol’ Mom got by on a pittance and yet, all of her children wanted for nothing. They didn’t have much, but what they did have, they appreciated and learned to become VERY resourceful.

Terrence ‘Tricksie’ Pimplethwaite III missed a lot of school so that he could provide the shortfall in money needed in order to stay ahead of the bills, but that did not stop him from studying in the evenings by candlelight so as to still be able to make his grades.

Coddle-Poppers are wise enough to  know that we are all unique parts of a puzzle, and if we encourage each other to shine, listen, learn and adventure into new ways of doing things, well, we may just find ‘interesting’ new ways of doing things. WHEN STRESS MADE US SHORT & IRRITABLE, AND WE NEED TO MAKE AMENDS

WHEN STRESS MADE US SHORT & IRRITABLE, AND WE NEED TO MAKE AMENDS

Noddy ‘No-Nonsense’ Nigglesworth VIII is a no-nonsense, say it as it is, matter-of-fact, oracle of wisdom kind of Coddle-Popper. His wisdom has been hard earned over nine hundred and seventy-five years of service as a Coddle-Popper Elder (When we take into account that one cannot be a member of the Counsel of Coddle-Popper Elders before their six hundred and ninety-ninth birthday, it can be safely said that he’s ‘been around the clock’ more than a few times!)

      WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE

We’ve been under a lot of stress, and we’re starting to turn into a snap-dragon. We’re being short and irritable with the people around us.

We lack patience with our kids, we snap at our partner, and we’re a total pain in the backside for the poor souls that have to work with us! It’s not that we were deliberately trying to upset anyone, but our stress had ground us down and lowered our threshold for tolerance. As a result, we react overly harshly to things that we normally wouldn’t bat an eyelid to.

Noddy ‘No-Nonsense’ Nigglesworth VIII insists that as soon as things start getting a little more settled (and we’ve realized that we need to acknowledge what just happened), we DEFINITELY need to mend a few fences and make things right again.

      SUGGESTION

Try saying this: ‘I’ve been really stressed lately, and I know I’ve been short and irritable with you. That’s not okay, and I’m sorry. You’ve done nothing to deserve being on the receiving end of my stress.’

      WHY IT WORKS

Noddy ‘No-Nonsense’ Nigglesworth VIII points out that it’s because we’re naming the behaviour that THEY experienced. We’re OWNING it (WITHOUT making excuses), and acknowledging that they DIDN’T deserve it.

      TOP TIP

If they bring up more stuff (complete with specific examples), or say they’re really hurt by it, Noddy ‘No-Nonsense’ Nigglesworth VIII implores us to LISTEN WITHOUT GETTING DEFENSIVE and even suggests we try: ‘You’re right, I did that, and I understand why it hurt. I’m working on handling my stress better so that I don’t take it out on you.’

Whatever we do, we DON’T follow the apology with explanations about how stressed we were. Noddy ‘No-Nonsense’ Nigglesworth VIII wants us to understand that our ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF THE IMPACT matters MORE than the explaining of our intent (that’s the secret sauce of why this works).

      FINAL THOUGHT

We are each a ‘Spirit’ (part of Source/Creator/God, insert your own Divinity here) having a ‘Homo-Sapien’ experience. Our life on Earth is an encyclopedia of experiences laid out FOR us (by prior agreement), in order for us to LEARN and GROW.

      MORE ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Noddy ‘No-Nonsense’ Nigglesworth VIII is a well-weathered looking Coddle-Popper (well, after nine hundred and seventy-five years as a Coddle-Popper Elder, one certainly would acquire a few wrinkles and creases!).  Noddy ‘No-Nonsense’ Nigglesworth VIII likes to boast that he stands about 3 apples tall, but truth be told, he may be three apples tall, but the top one does have more-than-a-few bites taken out of it!

Being one of many in a very large family, Noddy ‘No-Nonsense’ Nigglesworth VIII soon learned that the best way to get through life was with a ‘no-nonsense’ approach. He learned to always ask three valuable questions. Why has this happened? What caused it? and, What steps can I take to get to the solution? No ‘ifs,’ ‘ands’ or ‘buts.’

Just a straight talking, say it as it is, no-nonsense Coddle-Popper, which makes Noddy ‘No-Nonsense’ Nigglesworth VIII the most eligible Coddle-Popper to host ‘Therapist Corner’ (offering easily achievable solutions to life’s niggles and annoyances).

Noddy ‘No-Nonsense’ Nigglesworth VIII has overcome many years of constant nose whistles and temporary brain explosions to now be sufficiently competent in being the ‘go-to’ guy for ALL things (big and small).

(Nose-whistles: A nasal occurrence brought on by overthinking and/or brain-ache. There are two different octave whistles, depending whether an inward or outward breath. Prolonged nose whistles eventually bring on non-fatal brain explosions that do not have any long-term harm for the Coddle-Popper).

Coddle-Poppers know to go to Noddy ‘No-Nonsense’ Nigglesworth VIII for any issue they have, and know full well that they’re going to get a no-nonsense answer to their issue (well how do you think Noddy earned the ‘No-Nonsense’ name!)

To be ordained into the elite Counsel of Coddle-Popper Elders, only the wisest of the wise, judicious, and prudent Coddle-Poppers need apply. Sage-like qualities, complemented with a generous sprinkling of the very rare quality of ‘common sense’, would be considered an asset, but MUST have travelled around the sun at least six hundred and ninety-nine times before a Coddle-Popper can even be considered eligible for such a prestigious position as an elder in the Counsel. Noddy ‘No-Nonsense’ Nigglesworth VIII is one such Coddle-Popper.

      HOW THOUGHTS SHAPE OUR LIFE

      HOW THOUGHTS SHAPE OUR LIFE

      Thoughts steer our attention

It may be hard to believe, but our brain is not a perfect receiver and does not remember every single detail (I know many men may think their wives have brains that remember every single occasion, especially when they have messed up… but no). Whilst our brain is capable of noticing and processing a vast array of information, it does have shortcuts and biases that can lead to selective attention and cognitive illusions (now the women are thinking about the men in their lives). LOL

To help us survive and navigate the chaos of life, our brain puts in ‘search filters’ to allow it to find what it’s searching for from our thoughts. So, for the reasons listed below, it’s best that we start to pay more attention to our thoughts (because of our pesky search filter).

If our mindset/thoughts keeps us thinking that we’re struggling to keep up in life, then all that we’ll notice is how well our friends are doing, and what we lack. Even the good stuff, like our little victories end up getting ignored, because we’re no longer searching for them. Let’s think of our mindset as a laser searching out only that which is the same or similar to our particular thought (like starting a diet, but thinking we probably wont be able to do it anyway as we usually don’t. We find no shortages of excuses for a sweet treat like a donut… at least a donut makes us feel happy for a while).

So our search engine/mindset/thoughts searches for ways we have failed before, and lights up our road to failure (complete with good reasons why we should fail). We then compound that by eating something wrong and spend the next few days guilting ourself that we failed again! (But was that not that the goal of our mindset in the first place?) But, if our mindset keeps us thinking how we’re continually getting better, and how we’re making better choices for our future selves, we then pick up on how much progress we’re making, find opportunities, and come across supportive people.

Sheamus Sherman Schnouzer-Shoes describes two people who begin a new job. The first person thinks they’re not good enough (that they should not really have got the job and it will just be a matter of time before they are ‘found out’ and get fired). They then look for every reason to quantify this theory, so they focus on every small mistake and nit pick at everything they do, and how badly they do it, knowing that anyone else could do it better. As a result, people then notice the mistakes they make, and indeed start to nit pick at their work as that is what they are searching for. Does any of us recognize this in ourself?

The other person (with a learning mindset), is proud of getting an opportunity to use their skills and shine, they take note of their improvements, how their confidence is growing and ask more questions to discover other ways of incorporating more skills into their ever growing tool box. They strive forward, knowing anything is possible and that they can accomplish what they set out to do. Opportunity always seems to find them, as that is what they have set their ‘filter’ to.

The point that Sheamus Sherman Schnouzer-Shoes is making, is that it’s our own thoughts that decide what it is that our mind ‘highlights.’

      Thoughts drive our emotions

Most emotions don’t come directly from events. Sheamus Sherman Schnouzer-Shoes insists that they come from the MEANING we give to the event. He sets a scenario of an event whereby someone didn’t reply to our message. Our first thought could be that, ‘they don’t respect me, every body ignores me, I don’t know why I bother’ which would trigger the emotion of anger or sadness.

Alternatively, our thought might be that, ‘I said something wrong, I always say the wrong thing, that is why I don’t have many friends’ which could trigger the emotion of anxiety or stress. Of course, we could just have a thought that, ‘oh well, they’re probably just busy.’ There’s no emotion, just calmness.

The point that Sheamus Sherman Schnouzer-Shoes is driving home, is that each scenario is the very same situation, but with very different thoughts and feelings. Mindset.

      Thoughts influence our actions

Our feelings are what pushes our behaviour. But it’s our thoughts that are in the drivers seat of our feelings. Sheamus Sherman Schnouzer-Shoes warns that if we have the thought that we can’t do something, our emotion may react with fear or stress, which in turn initiates an action of procrastination, avoidance or quitting. The powerful ‘What IF’! (What if I try and fail, I probably wont be able to do it anyway so I should not even bother).

On the other hand, should we compromise with the thought of, ‘I’ll do one small step,’ our emotion may be one of pressure, but it’s still manageable. It initiates the action of starting, which expands to a practice and eventually blossoms into momentum. We just get a taste of what it feels like to DO, the hardest part always seems to be the first step, but looking back with regret and ‘if only’ (for NOT trying), is a heavier burden than the difficulty in taking the first step.

The philosophy teacher went one step further with a scenario of two different thought mindsets: Should we think that gym is too hard (getting up earlier and probably looking ridiculous using the machines wrong), then it’s quite likely that we’d just skip it. But if we had the thought to do ‘just 10 minutes, of something we enjoy, walking outside, trampolining, or skipping like a 10 year old with no-one else looking, then we’d end up doing more than the 10 minutes once we got started!

Thoughts become habits (our mental ‘default setting’)

What we keep telling ourself, eventually becomes our brain’s automatic pattern. Sheamus Sherman Schnouzer-Shoes explains that if we keep repeating about how we’re always unlucky,’ then we inevitably start expecting failure and we stop trying to the best of our abilities (we end up believing it). Think of our thoughts as muscles. What we keep thinking about, is what we strengthen. Instead of building muscles we’re building neural pathways. Our thought will follow the path it usually takes, be it positive or negative.

Should we have a positive mindset and think that, ‘we can always figure stuff out,’ we treat every challenge as an adventure and keep trying. We build our confidence and an awesome ‘can-do’ attitude. Over time, these repeated thoughts become what seems like our ‘personality,’ but Sheamus Sherman Schnouzer-Shoes is quick to point out that really, they’re just trained patterns. The moral of this story being that our mind learns what we practice, so we should only build the pathways that we would prefer to travel.

Thoughts change results over time (compounding effect)

Thoughts affect even the little things in life. These small choices (when repeated enough times) eventually become big life outcomes. Sheamus Sherman Schnouzer-Shoes explains COMPOUNDING for us:

Should we have the thought of ‘I really want to do something different, but I am too old to change.’ If we were to maintain that thought and do that 100 times, the months will tick away, and there’d be no change, and we’d still be in the same place and yes even older! But we’ll still have the usual thousand and one excuses of why we made the right choice to do nothing. If however our thought was to do just one step today, and try something different to see if we like it, discover a new skill or passion (just by taking bitesize classes, watching a video and giving it a go), then by doing what we love 100 times, maybe we’d discover a new passion/skill, make real progress, with real results.

Sheamus Sherman Schnouzer-Shoes points out that real POWER is not one big thought, but repeated thoughts shaping repeated actions. The loop that makes our thoughts so powerful is simple:

Thought creates Emotion creates Behaviour creates Outcome creates New Thought

Sheamus Sherman Schnouzer-Shoes interprets it like this, a thought creates an emotion, that emotion influences what we do, our actions create an outcome, and the outcome then feeds back into the next thought we have about ourself and/or life.

The philosophy teacher points out that this is why our thoughts feel so powerful… it’s because they don’t just stay in our head; they shape our feelings, our choices and our results. Sheamus Sherman Schnouzer-Shoes concludes that if we can change the thought (or change how we relate to it), we can change the emotion, the behaviour, and eventually the outcome, which means that we can shift the entire loop to a more healthier direction.

      DAY OF RECKONING

      DAY OF RECKONING

      DAY OF RECKONING

with Dumb-Founded Derek (The Wise One)

What we’re witnessing, is ‘change with purpose’ and it refuses to hold-back any longer. It was gradual at first, but now feels like all hell’s broken loose to make forward movement occur. This ‘now’ moment is like the ‘last call for boarding’ when passengers grab their gear to get on their flight before it departs. It feels a bit chaotic, rushed and a bit of a free-for-all (like trying to rush through customs before flight boarding closes). It’s frantic, and it’s tense.

What we’re experiencing is really a ‘frequency’ platform rather than an airport boarding platform, and it’s happening right now and it’s freely available for every Coddle-Popper, person, Faery, place, animal, vegetable, and/or thing! The franticness is linear time (where we feel that the boarding gate might be closing). But nothing is closing really, though choices ARE being made that put us closest to the frequencies that are in alignment with our goals/projects/passions.

It’s not a split as such, it’s more of a choosing (based on our preferences, life path and ease). ‘Good’ choices are no more evolved than ‘bad’ choices. They are just choices of frequency. Some frequency choices are made to fulfill a teacher role. Some are soul contracts, but ALL frequency choices will result in moving forward (there will be NO backward movement). Anything we do, contributes to our growth, development, and evolution.

What we witness now will be constant (maybe even confusing), so best we hang on to our attitude of ONENESS. It will take on a hierarchy in relationships where the whole will be more than the sum of the two parts, where ALL parties contribute in ALL circumstances. Both ‘sides’ bear responsibility for what has occurred (where one ‘side’ allows another to ‘hurt’ them for the benefit of both). It’s described like this, because of our goal/project/passion. Our goal/project/passion is likely to be of full awareness, enlightenment, and ascension. That goal/project/passion is attained by adopting a broader viewpoint.

Let’s go back to the frequency airport (that the world finds itself frantically boarding). The flight tickets are free and offered to everyone and everything. The subconscious choosing of the ticket occurs even without our awareness. Most of us, have had the ticket in our hand for quite a while now. We’re able to watch (with relative calm) from the comfort of our seat, those who are still choosing theirs.

Revelations will announce various people/systems/positions falling apart and their being escorted off the airport platform altogether. It’s not likely that we’ll change our mind or seat (now that we’ve found/earned it). We’ll stay where we are, watch, and breathe a sigh of relief. Everything is in perfect order.

At the end of the journey, the lights will come on, and everyone will be seen as they truly are. We’ll find ourself in a comfy place with people who feel like family (It’ll be this way for everyone). There’s a perfectly chosen frequency that fits for every individual.

So, if we find ourself reassessing things in these coming days and weeks, pay attention. We’re being called to our frequency through the choices that appeal most to our heart. This reckoning is not a punishment. It is a recognition and acceptance of who we are. It is OUR truth. This is where our world is headed and it promises to be an interesting/exciting trip.

      MORE ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Dumb-Founded Derek’s job is to contemplate wise things to tell the other Coddle Poppers. He has to be careful what he teaches them, because if he tells them things that are too confusing, their heads could explode momentarily, while their brains try to absorb all the new information that he gives them.

Nose-whistles: A nasal occurrence brought on by overthinking and/or brain-ache. There are two different octave whistles, depending whether an inward or outward breath. Prolonged nose whistles eventually bring on non-fatal brain explosions that do not have any long-term harm for the Coddle-Popper.

Oh, it’s a very hard job being the wise one, and sometimes he wonders what it would be like, to NOT have to worry so much about everything. But then, he worries that if he doesn’t worry about those things, who would worry about them then? And what would happen to the them without a wise one worrying about them? Oh, what a worry it is!
