Sheamus Sherman
Schnouzer-Shoes
Sheamus Sherman Schnouzer-Shoes, the shy, sheep shearing, shepherd from Shipton Shoreshells was made famous the day his coat tails got caught in his kite string, when a waywardly whooshing westerly wind coming from a northerly direction, unexpectedly sent him into orbit. Yes sir, Sheamus Sherman Schnouzer-Shoes, the shy sheep shearing shepherd from Shipton Shoreshells really was on a natural high all week after that!
Sheamus Sherman Schnouzer-Shoes, the shy sheep shearing shepherd from Shipton Shoreshells was made famous the day his coat tails got caught in his kite string, when a waywardly whooshing westerly
wind coming from a northerly direction, unexpectedly sent him into orbit. Yes sir, Sheamus Sherman Schnouzer-Shoes, the shy sheep shearing shepherd from Shipton Shoreshells really was on a natural high all week after that! By the time he got back on solid ground again his inny was an outy, his outy was an inny, his upside was his downside, and his downside was his upside. An outside in, and downside up, topsy-turvy, tizzy-whizzy of the utmost proportions, was what that was. Yes sir, it most certainly was!
Little are folk aware that when Sheamus Sherman Schnouzer-Shoes is not shearing, the rest of the time he is actually a philosophy teacher at Chuggphasterr Community College in the parish of Cabbagechester. Such was the escapade, that it went viral!
Poor Sheamus Sherman Schnouzer-Shoes is made famous for the wrong reason. His real fame should really be for his unique approach to philosophy such as the day he stood silently before his philosophy class with an assortment of items on the desk in front of him.
When the class began, he silently picked up a very large and empty pickle jar and began to fill it with golf balls. When he could not fit any more golf balls into the pickle jar Sheamus Sherman Schnouzer-Shoes asked his students if the pickle jar was full?
His Coddle-Popper students unanimously agreed that it was.
Sheamus Sherman Schnouzer-Shoes then picked up a box of small pebbles and poured them into the jar. He then shook the jar lightly and his class watched as the pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. Sheamus Sherman Schnouzer-Shoes then asked his students again, if the jar was full?
The class all gingerly agreed that it was.
Sheamus Sherman Schnouzer-Shoes next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up every thing else. He asked once more if the jar was full?
The students again responded with a resounding ‘yes.’
Sheamus Sherman Schnouzer-Shoes then produced two glasses of coddle-berry wine from under the table and poured the entire contents into the pickle jar effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students could not help but laugh.
Sheamus Sherman Schnouzer-Shoes then gives the moral to his story. If we imagine that the pickle jar represents our life. The golf balls would be the important things; our marriage, our family, our health, friends and all of our favourite things in life.
If everything else was lost and only the golf balls remained, our life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter like our job, our house, or car. The sand represents everything else, the small stuff. Sheamus Sherman Schnouzer-Shoes suggests to us that; If we were to put the sand into the jar first, there is no room for neither the pebbles nor the golf balls! Isn’t that the same for life too?
If we were to spend all our time and energy on the small stuff we would never have room for the things that are more important to us. Sheamus Sherman Schnouzer-Shoes suggests that our focus would be better spent, to pay attention to the things that are critical to our happiness. Talk to our loved ones and friends, take time to get medical check-ups; take our spouse out to dinner. Play another 18 holes. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal. Take care of the golf balls first, the things that really matter. Set our priorities, the rest is just sand.
One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the Coddle-berry wine represented? Sheamus Sherman Schnouzer-Shoes gave a great big smile. ‘I’m glad you asked.’ He said, ‘It just goes to show you that no matter how full our life may seem, there’s always room for a couple of glasses of coddle-berry wine with friends.’
May your stuffing be tasty and your turkey be plump,
May your potatoes and gravy have never a lump.
May your yams be delicious, and your pies take the prize,
And may your Christmas dinner stay off your thighs!
You see, spiritual growth and evolution is very important to both the Coddle-Popper and fairy folk alike in order that they become magical. Each situation that the Fairy folk and Coddle-Poppers have in life exists for their spiritual growth and evolution and when they are ready to acknowledge the wisdom with which they organize the scenarios of their life, they learn to love each situation.
As soon as the Coddle-Popper becomes aware of its lesson, it makes a point to know what it is and then to learn from it and then to love it free. The secret is that when once a Coddle-Popper has learned to love the experience, the experience has fulfilled its mission in the Coddle-Popper’s life and can then depart.
But as long as the Coddle-Popper continues to hate, judge, and resent, run away from or ignore it, the experience will exist and even intensify as it mirrors everything that the Coddle-Popper dislikes about it. The purpose of the experience is for the growth of the Coddle-Popper. It matters not whether the experience is good or bad, right, or wrong, beneficial, or harmful, short term or permanent as all of these are ‘judgments’ that will only result in the continuation of the circumstance.
Eventually it will teach the Coddle-Popper that everything that happens is neutral. It is neither good nor bad and the Coddle-Popper will ask itself, ‘what do I need to learn from this’? At this moment, the Coddle-Popper will have taken the first step on the path to freedom.
Each difficult time in life that the Coddle-Popper will experience is a mirror of a fear in its own life. The Coddle-Popper will then look inwards to his feelings in order to discover the real fear and the reason for its existence and then the experience has no longer has power over the Coddle-Popper and then the fear ceases to exist unless the Coddle-Popper allows it to. The harder the situation, the more important it becomes that the Coddle-Popper must learn and appreciate his lessons, and to heal those aspects of his belief system.
Once the Coddle-Popper has acknowledged that he was the one who created the situation, the experience loses its power over him because it is just the paradigm that the Coddle-Popper built, not the result of someone or something else’s actions against the Coddle-Popper. The Coddle-Popper can then love it free and move on in order to create other realities that are more peaceful, joyful, and fulfilling. No matter what the circumstance, if the Coddle-Popper can learn to love it, the Coddle-Popper can free itself from the experience and move forward on its journey.
It has long been said by the fairy folk that even some humans have practiced this Coddle-Popper wisdom and have experienced some very remarkable results. When things in our lives seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember this Coddle-Popper tale of the pickle jar and the 2 glasses of Coddle-berry wine.
